I love 3D invitation ideas and the glittery golden fortune cookie filled with rainbow candy with your party information on the fortune strip is so much fun!
When I saw this St Patricks Day fortune cookie craft by Kelly from Smart School House featured on the House of Rose Blog it made me smile. It would make a fantastic St Patricks Day invitation!
(For more information on 3D invitations, see our article on different types of invitations.)

Here are a few additional tips I’d like to add to turn it into a St Patricks Day party invitation.
- Make the “fortune” strip first. Put all the important invitation info on it – name, place, date, time – keeping it as short as possible.
- After you know how long you need to make your fortune strip, you can gauge how big you need to make your circle of glitter paper.
- I love the idea of filling it with rainbow candy!
While we’re talking about fortune cookies . . .
I thought you’d get a chuckle out of that. Want to read more baby bloopers? Visit Parents Magazine.
