Step 1: Set Up Your Image
The Twitter profile picture size is 1252 px wide by 626 px tall with a maximum file size of 5MB.
One really neat thing Twitter does is they keep the gradient grey shading over your picture to ensure that the white text shows up, so you can use almost any photo and have it work well.
Step 2: Upload Your Image
Log into your Twitter account and click the “Me” button in the taskbar at the top.
Now click the “edit profile” button below the header area.
A pencil icon will appear in the upper right-hand corner. Click on it to edit the header area. A task bubble will appear with the choice “Upload Photo” – click and upload the photo you prepared.
Notice the slider on the left-hand side. If your picture doesn’t look the way you’d like, use the slider to zoom in or out and see if it improves the appearance.
When you’re happy with the photo click “Apply”, wait a few seconds and then click “Save Changes” when the button appears.
You are now the proud owner of a great Twitter header!
